Na'am - Alyah EP

by Na'am

Na' am begins its collaboration with Canal Auditif in 2015, releasing its first EP " Alyah ", which means " spiritual rise " in Arabic. This seven titles opus , included four remixes, is the opportunity for these both friends to propose a range of styles going from house, tech-house or progressive house, to indie dance or even nu-disco.

If we should define their musical universe , we could talk about a fine and rare mixture between deep-house, electronica, melodic techno and oriental inspirations, like a salute to their origins.

Pierre-Loys and Mehdi’s influences come from artists such as Bruise of Customs(US), Mind Against, Hraach, Viken Arman or Adriatic, but we can also find film atmospheres like the Dutch duet Weval and from melodic compositions of N’to, Worakls or mister Oliver Koletzki.
Rather than confine itself to a single style, Na'am experiments and cultivates a melodious crossover, as a metaphor of their personal history.

Pierre-Loys and Mehdi collaborate with Mathis Hauray and Yohm, Jacme, Avidus, Prove Then Wrong and Vertigo to give a new approach to their material. The result is very attractive and mature for a fine debut.
